Noche Buena

Merry Christmas everyone! 'Tis the season to be chubby again! Just looking all these food makes me feel bloated. I gained so much weight. Arrrghh! I think, I should decide now to sign up for the Full Marathon next year to shed all these fats.

Anyway, we're so grateful for Dela Cruz family for always welcoming us to celebrate with them.  It's becoming a tradition now for us. Hahaha! So here's our Noche Buena for this year. We had fun eating together, gift giving and fellowship with one another.

Happy birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas from me and Ronald

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is just around the corner. My 6 consecutive years celebrating Christmas here in Singapore. Oh how I miss celebrating this season at home! I miss having Noche Buena with my family. But still I'm grateful that I have my second home and family here to celebrate this special event.

This afternoon, when I was doing our company EDM I was reminded of the real reason for this season. It's all about Him. We're so busy preparing different stuffs for Christmas and tend to forget about Him. Christmas is not just about buying gifts and attending party everywhere. This is the time to celebrate Jesus! Celebrating the goodness of God for allowing His Son to be born for all of us. Seeking God and having personal relationship with Him are more important than everything else. Just a realization from me. Haha. Anyway, Happy birthday Jesus! Thank You for loving us unconditionally. :)

P.S. Looking forward now to celebrate Christmas with my family next year. :D

Great Eastern Women's Run 2013 - 21.1KM

This is it! My 2nd 21.1km run for this year. I love this run because it's only for women. Girl Power!!! :) And because I already tried 10km in previous years I decided to level up and did 21.1km for this event. Yey! :) Another achievement for me. Though it was tough and raining, I had fun. I think I am more prepared for this marathon in all aspect. Haha. Running is definitely one of the things I enjoy doing. So thinking now if I will join for Full Marathon next year. Do you think I can do it? :)

I thank God for the abled body. I know He is the One sustained me strength to finished this race. All glory to You. :)

This is me after 18km

almost in the finish line

So happy I finished the race. :) Official Result 2:35:34

My Medal and Finisher Shirt. Love it! :)

Run with Grace - Nike Run 2013

This is my favorite run for this year, simply  because I love the running shirt. :) Of course sponsored by Nike so it must be really good. First time to personalised my running shirt too. So Run with Grace!!! :) Quite challenging also because I run with my friends but that adds up the fun. Will always look forward now for Nike Run. Definitely will sign up again for next year (if I'm not yet pregnant that time).
Official Time: 1:10 for 10km.

My 29th Breakfast Birthday Party

Late post.

This year is my last birthday as a single!! Yey! (goodbye to my singlehood in few months time). So to make it extra special, we have prepared for a breakfast birthday party! I asked my friends to come early in the morning to celebrate with me. Pretty unusual, right? haha! And since we are home away from home, we decided to cook our very own Pinoy breakfast. We also have Pandesal and Kapeng Barako to complete our breakfast menu.  And it was a hit! They all like the food.

Champorado, Sopas, Maling, Itlog na maalat, Tuyo, Dilis, TJ Hotdog, Fried Rice and Pork Tapa

I just want to say thank you to all my friends who came despite of heavy rain that morning. I hope you came because of me and not for the food. Lol! Thanks also to my housemates for helping out and to Ate Kat for the yummy cupcakes. And it would not be possible if not for my chef/honey, Ronald.  Thanks for everything... you're really spoiling me. :) Hope you won't change kahit mag asawa na tayo. Pagluluto mo pa rin ako, promise? haha!

Wedding Diary - Beginning

Just started for our wedding preparation. I had no idea that it's hard to plan for a wedding. It's very tedious and requires a lot of patience especially for me. And since I am a woman full of patience, it's really tough and very challenging. Haha! Sometimes i'm actually thinking just go to ROM (Registry of Marriage) and boom after 5 mins it's done. We are married. How I wish it's easy as that. Anyway, 7 months to go and I will just enjoy this. :) I don't want a fancy wedding btw, simple will do. I am more excited on the honeymoon part. Hahaha. Simple wedding but extravagant honeymoon. But on the other side, I'm also thinking after the wedding. For me getting married is not that easy. We should be physically, financially, emotionally, mentally and spirtually prepared for this new chapter of our lives. One thing for sure, whatever comes our way we have each other and we have our God who will guide us. :)

Registered to Great Eastern Women's Run 21km

My 3rd time to join in Great Eastern Women's Run and my second time to join 21km but this time it's in daytime. :) Well... good luck to me. Target to finish this race as early as I can because I don't want to feel the heat of the sun. Remember Grace, this is day time not the same as the sundown marathon. Excited to join for the 21km finisher shirt. Lol! :)

Throwback Travel - Japan

Since I saw a lot of Throwback Thursday posts in FB and twitter, I decided to do my own throwback travel post too. (gaya gaya lang ang peg) haha! This week, I want to feature our Japan trip! :) We went there 29 December 2011 until 1st week of Jan 2012. It has always been my dream to go to Japan to see my sister and her family who are currently residing there. After 6 yrs, finally I managed to see them especially my nieces (Katkat & Kakai) and nephew (Kenzo). They are all grown up now! Time really flies. My nanay was also there that time for a vacation. So it was a good way to celebrate our New Year with them.

We took Singapore Airlines since maarte ako. Lol! Actually I'm not! Let's just say that I'm more comfortable with good quality airlines rather than budget airlines for a long haul flight (parang ang layo no? haha) Ok... ok... I must admit SIA is one of my favorite airlines! Who doesn't like SIA anyway? Although it's a little bit pricey but yet it's safer. And dun na ako sa safe no. :P Arrived at Nagoya Airport and fetched by my nanay, sister and her family. It was very cold since it's winter time. Look how my nanay dressed up. Wahahaha!
Kakai, Katkat, Moi, Kuya Eric, Ate Sol, Kenzo, Nanay

Went to the park near the house of Ate.

And went to their supermarket. I looove their market! They sell fresh vegetables, seafood and meat.

And my favorite part! We went to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea. Wanna go back again!

Our first time to experience snow!! Yey! And yes we did that snowman! Epic! Haha!

We really had a good time in Japan. I'm really looking forward to visit again. I'm actually thinking to live there too. I like the environment, very relaxed. Really different from the environment here in SG. If  God permits, I really wanna settle there with my Ate and my own family. Well... will see how it goes. :) For now, I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to be there. Thank you Lord! :)

Jurong Lake Run 2013

Last Sunday was the most awaited run for this year, the Jurong Lake Run. It was something special because most of us in our CG participated in this run. And the most amazing part was, it's FREE! :) Thank God we have a friend, Gjo working in AIA. And as the major sponsor of JLR, they gave free registration to all their staff. But since not many our interested in running, we got their slot. Yey!
with my Sengkang Cell Group  and Meng

And finally Ronald and I run together in an official event. He normally go with me for support or take a pictures only but since this is free, he agreed to join. (Yun pala hinihintay, libre!)
before and after the run with my fiancé

On a personal note, I managed to beat my record last year. Yahoo! Though it's only 1 minute difference, at least I improved for 1 minute. Lol! My record this year is 1hour and 12 minutes for 10km distance. Not that bad. Anyway, I still need to practice a lot.  And the shirt I used was too big for me. Next time, i should wear what is comfortable to me.

And this is what I got, another medal for my hard work. I love their finisher shirt too, the fitting is just so nice.

our Jump Shot! Hoooray! Until next year guys! :)

3rd Year Anniversary

It has been 3 years and this man is still the same as ever. His love and patience to me is really unmeasurable. And I'm so blessed to have him in my life. After my painful break up 5 yrs ago, I guarded my heart and put a wall from any man who tried to come into my life.  I must admit that I struggle a lot because of my stubbornness and insisting on what "I" want. I prayed to God earnestly to find a man who will love Him more than I and love me for who I really am. And I thank God I found him. My answered prayer and the greatest gift in my life.

As we are planning on the next phase of our lives, I just can't explain how thankful I am to God. I know I am in good hands and will marry the person that God has prepared only for me. For sure life will not be a smooth sailing but as long as we have Him and we have each other, we will have a wonderful marriage ahead of us. And I claim it now in Jesus name.

Happy Anniversary ney! I am so looking forward to our life together and with our little ones of course. I love you! Thanks for everything.

Sundown Marathon 2013

I never imagine myself joining the 21.1km marathon ever! As in ever! Hanggang 10km lang ako. Haha. It was a huge leap of faith for me to sign up and no backing out. I was surprised to myself that I had a guts and believing that I can do it. So last Friday was the moment of truth. My first ever Sundown marathon. I took half day leave so i can sleep and rest but unfortunately I didn't managed to sleep. It was a mixed emotion, nervous and excited!

This is me before the race. Still fresh! :)

It was really tough! When i reach 15km, i can feel my legs getting weaker and seeing some of the runners collapse in the middle or having muscle cramps makes my body even weaker. But i fight for it!! I had to ignore those negative thoughts that coming to my head and just continue. I can do this! 18km, i'm already praying to Him to give me strength and finish the race strong and healthy. It's no longer I but God sustaining me strength. And I really thank Him! I did it!!!

Yey I did it!!!!!!!! Finished my first half marathon for 2:44:37 (official result)

Still managed to smile despite of everything. Lol!

And this is what I got! My first medal for 21.1km

With my fellow runners! Way to go!!! Until next time.

P.S. Am I ready for full marathon? OMG!

Langkawi Trip

I love this trip! We have booked the ticket last year, so imagine how giddy and excited I am for this. And the most awaited proposal also happened here. Yes, I'm engaged! I still can't believe that I'm getting married soon. :) Parang nasa cloud 9 pa rin ako. Lol!  So this trip is one of our memorable and unforgettable trip ever!
So before I get busy with all the wedding preparation, I want to post some of our pics.
Upon arrival in Langkawi, we had lunch at the resort. Dipped in the pool and had dinner at Orchid Ria, one of the best seafood resto in Langkawi. Two thumbs up. The food is really good.

City Tour on the next day. Went to Langkawi Bird Paradise, Eagle Square, Tanjong Rhu and 7 Waterfalls.
Third day is for Island Hopping!

We went to Langkawi Cable Bar. So blessed that they are open on our last day here. They closed it for 2 weeks for maintenance. Even though I'm so afraid riding in a cable car, I still did it. Hoooray for me! :) I'm an overcomer of my fear. Lol! After that, went to Cenang beach again and had our full body massage at night. We departed Langkawi early in the morning on the following day.
Excited to go back to Singapore to pack my things and fly again for my vacation in the Philippines. :)

I'm Engaged!

And i said Yes! Finally, i'm officially engaged.  Ronald popped the question up in the air on our way to Langkawi. I still can't believe it but excited to do our planning soon. Soon to be Mrs. Sarne! ❤

Jollibee in SG

Finally after many attempts to eat in Jollibee, we managed to eat and satisfy our cravings. It's actually big deal for us since it creates issues here in SG. We wanted to support them and we are really proud to our very own Jollibee. :) And I could say that queue is really crazy everyday. You have to wait for 1 to 2 hours, so patience will be tested before you eat your favorite meal. So the verdict? Taste is the same but sad to say they don't have my favorite palabok yet. I hope they will add more menus to choose from.

So congratulations to Jollibee Singapore! Thanks for bringing our favorite fast food here. It brings back memories of our childhood days. You won't be missed anymore. :)

FCG - Fun Run

Last week we had a Fun Run with the FCG guys and gals. It was actually for a very good cause that I cannot mention here since it's too sensitive. But we did it out of love. Even we're just a small group  I believe it's our simple way to help and bless them financially. Although it's just a small amount but it will make a difference somehow. And I'm so happy that these group of people participated to be fit and healthy. :)  Running is a very good exercise and I really love it. It's my stress buster and... ok... i must admit it... I also want to lose weight.. you know! Haha!

So on behalf of the committee members, we wanna say thank you to all who participated. May our Lord give back the blessings to all hundred folds!
The FCG peeps!

Jack the Giant Slayer

After winning the best "Gangnam Style Group Presentation" last Christmas, finally we were able to celebrate the victory of our group last night. They had given us movie ticket vouchers and free popcorn as our group prize. It was a good way indeed to have fellowship with one another. And we are claiming that this year would be our third time to win this group competition! Go Sengkang group! :)

photo grabbed from Ate Kat

We watched Jack the Giant Slayer. I actually liked the movie though I'm looking for the golden goose to appear but to no avail. Maybe on the second part of the movie I guess. I am also happy to see these kind of movies nowadays that I am just reading when I was young. Like Hansen and Gretel but with a different twist/story. Anyway, a lot of new movies to come this year and I'm excited to watch all these movies soon. :)

Duathlon

Tried running and biking last weekend. Oh boy! I didn't know that it was really really hard. "Hingal aso" and soooo tired after that. It made me realized that I'm not yet ready for duathlon. Haha. And what weird is, I'm actually thinking about it. Erase that idea (duathlon) now. Good thing, I didn't feel any body pain after.

So long way to go. Still need to do more exercise/practice for my 21km marathon on May. I can do this! :)

Beautiful Creatures

Movie night with my roommates Tin & Mhack and of course with my Ronald. Love this new movie! Yey another series based from novel that i will look forward. At last, after Twilight and Harry Potter movie series. Here comes the new beautiful series. I want to have my own books now to know the ending. Excited much! Haha! :)

Valentines Celebration 2013

Celebrated our 3rd Valentines Day with my ever loving boyfriend who never fails to love me everyday no matter what. We went to my favorite resto, Outback Steakhouse. I so miss their foods. Super duper bloated after the dinner and quickly rushed to our prayer meeting. Yes! We had a prayer meeting on a Valentines Day. What a unique way to celebrate Vday, right? But I am so blessed and grateful that we went there to seek and pray to Him. It was a wonderful experience indeed.

Thank you ney for the wonderful gifts. And most especially for loving me for who I am. Even most of the times i'm not "lovable", still you never fail to show your love and care. I really appreciate your understanding and patience to me. You are really one of a kind! Thanks ney, I love you! :)

Chinese New Year 2013 in KL, Malaysia - Truly Asia

Since we had a long weekend we decided to have a short getaway in KL, Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year. Went there to meet my college classmate Charm who are now working there. Went to Aquaria in KLCC to explore the underwater world. Haha! Anyway, will just post the pictures here that will explain a thousand words.

Many thanks to my friend, Charm for accommodating us. See you next time! :)
